Set in over 8 acres of beautiful riverside gardens, Chewton Place is a regency manor house located just 6 miles from the city centres of Bristol and Bath. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lounge areas and free private parking is available on site.

A flat-screen TV, private bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities are featured in all Chewton Place rooms. Most have views over the landscaped gardens. Guests have the choice of accommodation within the Main House, or The Lodge, a separate accommodation building.

Breakfast is served daily in the restaurant and the fully-licenced bar offers a selection of light meals in the evening.

The small town of Keynsham is one mile away, offering good local amenities including a leisure centre, and a selection of restaurants and pubs.

Chewton Place has 7 conference rooms, varying in size from the light and airy Chewton Suite, which can accommodate up to 120, to the intimacy of the Morning Room, which is suitable for groups of up to 10 people. In addition, there are numerous syndicate rooms and a range of lounge areas providing the ultimate in flexibility to suit your individual requirements.

Chewton Place is also one of Bristol and Bath's most prestigious wedding venues, with the house and grounds providing the perfect backdrop and a true sense of occasion for every wedding.

During December, Chewton Place offers pre-booked Christmas party nights. Any accommodation bookings made on these evenings are reminded that meals will not be available. All accommodation with be on a strict bed-and-breakfast basis.

Surrounding Area

The British Commonwealth and Empire Museum is located in nearby Bristol, 6 miles (10 km) away. Housed inside Isambard Kingdom Brunel's original 19th century railway station building, this award-winning museum outlines the history and legacy of the British Empire.

The ancient Roman Baths are located in nearby Bath, 6 miles (10 km) away. The baths are a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and are widely regarded as the best-preserved Roman religious spa from the ancient world.

Cheddar Gorge is 25 miles (40 km) away. Cheddar Gorge is the largest gorge in the UK, famous for its ancient finds, intricate caves and spectacular rock formations.

Longleat House and Safari Park is 26 miles (42 km) from the hotel. Longleat House is widely regarded as one of the best examples of high Elizabethan architecture in Britain and one of the most beautiful stately homes open to the public.

Transport

By Car:
From Central Bristol:
- Exit Bristol on the A4, following signs for Bath.
- Continue on the A4 for approximately 8 km until you reach Broadmead roundabout.
- Take the 3rd exit onto the B3116.
- Turn left at the mini roundabout onto the Wells Way.
- After approximately 800 metres take the 1st right turn onto Chewton Road, signposted Chewton and Compton Dando.
- Chewton Place is situated on the left, at the bottom of the hill.

From Central Bath:
- Exit Bath on the A36/A4, following signs for Bristol.
- Continue on the A4 through Saltford until you reach the Broadmead roundabout.
- Take the 1st exit onto the B3116.
- Follow the rest of the directions as from Bristol.

From M32 (junction 19 of M4):
- Exit the M32 at junction 1 onto the A4174 ring road (this will be the 1st exit of the roundabout).
- Continue on the ring road for approximately 11 km, following signs for Bath, until you reach the Hicks Gate roundabout.
- Take the 1st exit onto the A4 to Bath.
- At the Broadmead roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the B3116.
- Follow the rest of the directions as from Bristol.

Restaurants

Full English breakfasts and continental buffet-style breakfasts are available in the morning from 07:30 to 09.00 on weekdays.

Light meals and snacks are available in the bar lounge in the evening. Alternatively, the Cedars Restaurant offers a table d'hôte evening menu. Meals are served between 19:00 and 21:00.

The hotel's fully licensed bar is open from 18:00 until 23:30.

Please note, in December the hotel holds Christmas parties and the restaurant/bar is closed to guests. Bookings may be taken if spaces are available; request when booking.
