The majestic 17th-century Cromwell Hotel is in the centre of historic Banbury. It has a restaurant, a bar, 24-hour front desk, free parking and free Wi-Fi.
The hotel's restaurant and bar offer a creative menu, a wide range of traditional ales and good wines. There is a large, enclosed garden where food is also served.
Each room has a bathroom with a bath, a shower and a hairdryer. Other facilities include satellite TVs, CD players and tea/coffee. Three ground-floor rooms are available.
Cromwell Lodge is also walking distance to Banbury Railway Station, with regular trains to Oxford, Stratford and Bicester. Both Blenheim Palace and Oxford can be reached in under 40 minutes' drive.

With our recently refurbished restaurant area, we can now comfortably accommodate up to 60 people. We offer our breakfast buffet in the restaurant and the opening times for lunch and evening meals are as follows:
Monday-Friday: 12:00?14:00, 18:00-21:00.
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00-15:00, 18:00-20:00.
This area can also be used for private functions, with various buffet and sit down meals that we can provide for you. We can also offer our recently refurbished garden room (accommodating for up to 25 people) for private functions or conferences. We offer a conference pack, with various offers to suit your needs.
We also offer a bar, with a relaxing atmosphere, that is open from 11:00 everyday, until 23:00 Monday-Thursday, 00:00 Friday and Saturday, and 22:30 Sunday. We have a log fire in the bar area, making it a nice, warm and cosy place to be in the winter. Our spacious garden is a lovely area to sit during the summer.
There is a car parking space at the rear of the hotel.
Surrounding Area
Situated in the centre of Banbury town, The Cromwell Lodge is just minutes from the famous Banbury Cross, Shopping Centre and Canal. The Banbury Museum is in the shopping centre, offering history of Banbury town and suggesting plenty of things to do and see, whilst staying in Banbury. The Cromwell Lodge is also walking distance to the railway station, with regular trains to Oxford, Stratford and Bicester. Milton Keynes is also close by, but a car would be a better way to travel there.
Transport
From M40, take J11. Go straight over the first two roundabouts. On the third roundabout turn left into Southam Road. (a Citroen garage will be on your left and Tescos on your right) Southam Road becomes North Bar after the traffic lights and the hotel is situated on the right hand side, approx 400 yards from the lights.
