Hotel Eynsham Hall description

In 3,000 acres of beautiful parkland, in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, this impressive Jacobean-style mansion boasts superb leisure facilities, including an indoor pool.

On the edge of the Cotswolds, this grade II listed manor house is a 10-minute drive from Witney. Historic Oxford and its shops and colleges are 20 minutes' drive.

Eynsham Hall's reception lounge retains many period features, including a wooden floor and a stone fireplace. The Health and Fitness Club offers a state-of-the-art fitness studio and a sauna.

Classic-style rooms are in the main house, whilst more modern rooms are in the scenic grounds. All rooms have a TV, free tea/coffee, free toiletries, and most also have free Wi-Fi.

With log fires for the winter and a large terrace for the warmer months, the Gun Room is the Hall's award-winning bar. It serves a varied menu, using fresh, seasonal produce.

Transport

Eynsham hall is not in Eynsham, but at north leigh, on the a4095 between Witney and Woodstock From The East: Leave the M40 at Junction 8, following the signs for A40 to Cheltenham. At the Green Road Roundabout (Macdonalds is on the left) take the second last exit to Cheltenham on the A40. Continue straight on over the next two roundabouts still following the signs for Cheltenham. After about 5 miles go straight over the third roundabout and half a mile past the third roundabout turn right to Freeland. (Opposite the Beefeater Inn called the Evenlode. After about one mile take the first left. At the T junction turn right and continue to the next T junction. Turn left onto the A4095. Eynsham Hall is on the left hand side around half a mile along this road. From The South: Take the A34 which bypasses OXFORD. Leave the A34 at the Peartree Interchange junction and take the A44, heading towards Stratford, Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. Stay on the A44 and go over 3 roundabouts and at the 4th roundabout turn left onto the A4095, sign posted Witney. Heading towards Witney you will pass through Bladon and Long Hanborough and after approximately 5 miles you will see the North Leigh Garden Centre on your right. The Entrance to EYNSHAM HALL is on your left, opposite the turning to NORTH LEIGH indicated by a large florescent road sign. From The North East: Leave the M1 at the exit 15A (Rothersthopre services) take the A43 to Oxford. You will pass through, Towcester, Silverstone, Syresham. At Brackley follow the signs to M40. At the M40 interchange, take the 2 nd exit, sign posted London /Oxford to join the Motorway. At junction 9 (Wendlebury Interchange) take the A34 South for approx 6 miles and exit at the Peartree Interchange. Take the A44 to Blenheim Palace. Stay on the A44 and go over 3 roundabouts, and at the 4 th roundabout turn left onto the A4095, sign posted Witney. Heading towards Witney you will pass through Bladon and Long Hanborough, and after approximately 5 miles you will see the North Leigh Garden Centre on your right. From The North: Take the M40 towards London and leave the motorway at junction 9 (Wendlebury Interchange). Take the A34 towards Oxford, for approx 6 miles and exit at the Peartree Interchange. Take the A44 to Blenheim Palace. Stay on the A44 and go over 3 roundabouts and at the 4 th roundabout turn left onto the A4095, sign posted Witney. Heading towards Witney you will pass through Bladon and Long Hanborough and after approximately 5 miles you will see the North Leigh Garden Centre on your right. The Entrance to EYNSHAM HALL is on your left, opposite the turning to NORTH LEIGH indicated by a large florescent road sign. From The West: Head towards Oxford on the A40, bypassing Witney. Turn left towards Freeland (opposite the Evenlode Inn Beefeater). Follow this road through Freeland, this will bring you to a T junction, where you will turn left onto the A4095. Heading towards Witney, after 1 mile you will see a North Leigh Garden Centre on your right. The entrance to EYNSHAM HALL is on your left, opposite the turning to NORTH LEIGH indicated by a large fluorescent road sign. From The South West: Leave the M4 at junction 13 (Newbury/Oxford). Turn left onto the A34 towards Oxford. Stay on the A34 and bypass Oxford. At junction 9 (Peartree Interchange), take the A44 to Blenheim Palace. Stay on the A44 and go over 3 roundabouts, and at the 4th roundabout turn left onto the A4095, sign posted Witney. Heading towards Witney you will pass through Bladon and Long Hanborough and after approximately 5 miles you will see the North Leigh Garden Centre on your Right. Restaurants

The Gun Room Bar emphasises Eynsham Halls traditional past as a fine country manor. Guests can linger over drinks and choose from a selection of dishes for lunch and dinner. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a series of food, drink and arts related events at Eynsham Hall throughout the year.

Please note that events will be taking place in the Main Hall over most weekends, with music until the early hours. Please be aware of this when booking a room in the Main Hall.
