Built in 1841, this Grade II listed building has retained many period features, with converted and tastefully furnished interiors creating the warm and friendly atmosphere of a country house hotel.
Located on the fringe of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Falcon Manor is an ideal base for discovering the area. The Ingfield Room is a tastefully appointed main dining room which enjoys one of the best views in Yorkshire and offers exceptionally high standards of cuisine and comfort.
The first floor Rafters Room is perfect for smaller private parties and family celebrations, and is a regular venue for small conferences.
Surrounding Area
The Falcon Manor is an ideal base from which to explore the enchanting scenery of the surrounding Craven Hills, Herriot Country, the Lake District and the Lancashire Coast. It is an excellent centre for walkers, motorists and railway enthusiasts, with the Settle-Carlisle Railway nearby. Settle itself is a fine example of a typical, bustling Dales market town that has lost none of its charm. The market place is a short walk from the hotel.
Transport
By Car
- From Long Preston (the south side of Settle), take the A65 to Settle until reaching the roundabout.
- Take the second turn-off on the roundabout, and the hotel is situated about a mile away on Skipton Road, on the right-hand side, just set back from the road.
- From Ingleton (the north side of Settle) take the A65 until you see signs for Settle.
- Take a left-hand turn, up a hill and down into a valley.
- Continue through Giggleswick and Settle town to the other side of Settle.
- The hotel is situated on the way out of Settle on the left-hand side, just set back from the road.
Restaurants
Falconers Bar features log fires in winter and serves a wide selection of ales.
Important
As of March 2012 and for the time being, The Ingfield Room is only open on Saturday nights.
