In the 19th century, the Royal Mail coach often stopped at the Foelas Arms on its way from London through Betws-y-Coed to Holyhead. Today, the coaching route is the A5.

We are 5 miles from Betws-y-Coed on the A5 Trunk road and 60 miles from Shrewsbury and we can be reached by train from London in 5 hours. Our nearest train station being Betws-y-Coed. From the North of England head for Chester and the A55 and then the A470 road and finally the A5 at Betws-y-Coed.
