Folkestone Garden Lodge

Whether on business or leisure, the Garden Lodge could not be more ideally placed close to Dover (11.2 km/7 miles) and its cruise terminal; Folkestone (6.4 km/4 miles) and the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury (19.2 km/12 miles).

The Garden Lodge is a very comfortable family home. The rooms and restaurant are well-decorated, very comfortable and with a strict non-smoking policy. The beautiful garden has aviaries, a fish pond and a mosaic tiled, solar heated swimming pool (summer months only) with steps for easy access. The restaurant offers homemade food, often using home-grown vegetables and fruit.

Hotel Information

In order to claim your free SeaFrance day trip, you must state your preferred times of outward and return journey during the booking process. Garden Lodge can also book other trips with SeaFrance at reduced rates.

You are welcome to leave your car at the guest house while you are cruising (at an additional cost). Transfers to and from the terminal are also offered.

Garden Lodge also runs a number of professional courses which you might like to complete during your stay. These include hypnotherapy training, neuro-linguistic programming and life-coaching. Surrounding Area

Garden Lodge is within easy reach of an internationally recognised equestrian centre, Lydden Motor Racing Circuit, golf courses, zoological parks, historic castles, sports facilities, recognised walks, cycle routes and a multitude of gardens.

Transport

By Car:
- Take the M20 in the direction of Dover.
- Do not turn off at the Folkestone exit. Go through the tunnel in the hill.
- When leaving the tunnel, bear left onto the A260 in the direction of Canterbury.
- At the roundabout, turn right onto the A260 in the direction of Canterbury.
- Follow this road for 2.3 km (1.4 miles) and Garden Lodge is situated on the right-hand side.

Restaurants

Meals are served in a beautifully decorated room, with patio doors leading into the garden. Warm, friendly atmosphere and service are always offered. There is an excellent menu with a wide range of freshly cooked dishes, with a good choice of vegetarian meals.

All cakes and pastries are homemade, and during the summer guests can also enjoy delicious traditional Kentish cream teas, in the garden by the pool.

Traditional Sunday lunch is always available either in the beautiful dining room or on the patio.

Garden Lodge is not licensed for alcohol, but guests are welcome to bring their own wine, which can be served at no extra charge.

Full English breakfast is served from 07:15 every day.

Dinner is served from 18:00 until 19:30 every day.

Dinner reservations must be made at the time of booking, as the restaurant is open to non-residents and can be very busy.

Payment Information:
Cash and cheques (with personal guarantee card) are accepted, along with credit and debit cards (see accepted credit card list). Please note that an administration fee of 1.45% is added by the hotel to all credit card payments made to the hotel.

Other Information:
If you are going to arrive after 22:00 please telephone Garden Lodge. Latest check-in time is 23:00. Rooms are to be vacated by 10:00 on day of departure. Please make reservations for dinner, when making initial booking.

Cancellation Terms

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 10 years are charged GBP 16.00 per night and person for extra beds.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 20.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 3.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is not applicable.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs GBP 5.00 per 24 hours.

Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Free Public parking is possible on site.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.
