Although there are many routes into York, Lady Anne Middletons Hotel recommends the following:
- On reaching the York Outer Ring Road, the A64 and the A1237, take the shortest route to the A1036 (York West) junction. This is Tadcaster Road.
- Follow the A1036 straight on, past York Racecourse on the right-hand side, to the city wall (Micklegate Bar).
- Turn right at the traffic lights, into Nunnery Lane, and keep the city walls on the left-hand side until you come to the Skeldergate Bridge. J
- Just before the bridge, turn left into Skeldergate, and then immediately left onto Cromwell Road.
- The entrance to the hotel car park is the second turning on the right (approximately 100 metres), on the brow of the hill.
If you are using satellite navigation, please use the postcode YO1 6DU, as this brings you to the entrance of the car park in Cromwell Road.
By Train:
Lady Anne Middletons Hotel is 0.5 miles (800 m) from York Rail Station. Taxis are readily available from the station.
Restaurants
The restaurant is open for breakfast from 07:30 to 09:30, Monday to Saturday and from 08:00 to 10:00 on Sundays. The restaurant offers full traditional cooked English breakfasts served to your table, as well as a buffet-style continental breakfast. For those who require earlier breakfasts, a continental breakfast tray can be arranged.
The restaurant is open for dinner from 18:00 to 21:00 (times may vary occasionally). A 3-course dinner with coffee is available at a fixed price. The kitchen team produces a range of tempting dishes, including local specialities, traditional national dishes and international classics. Great emphasis is placed on use of locally produced fresh food. The majority of special dietary requirements can be accommodated, but advanced notice is appreciated, to allow for the purchase of specific requirements.
Important
The hotel does not accept group bookings of more than 3 rooms from those attending the nearby racecourse, or from all-male or all-female parties. Stag and hen parties cannot be accommodated.
Children under 18 years have limited use of the fitness facilities.
