Hotel Mercure Eastgate Oxford description

Off Oxford High Street and close to the Botanic Gardens, this 17th-century inn has an AA Rosette brasserie and bar. Oxford's main shopping district is 10 minutes' walking distance.

The historic Mercure Oxford Eastgate has bright air-conditioned rooms that have internet access and a TV with satellite channels and pay per view channels.

High Table Brasserie & Bar serves modern European cuisine using locally sourced seasonal produce. Guests are served a tasty breakfast every morning.

The Oxford Eastgate is a good central base for exploring Oxford, and has its own on-site car park. Many colleges, and punting on the river, are a short walk away.

Transport

From The North: Take the m40 and then the second Oxford exits 8a. Follow the a40 Oxford until you come to a roundabout, at which you need to take the second exit signposted Headington and city centre. Follow this road through until you come to a small roundabout called the Plain. Take the exit signed city centre, ignoring the no through traffic sign. Go over Magdalen Bridge, keeping in the left handed lane, straight ahead at the traffic lights, and then take the first left-handed turn into Merton Street. The entrance to the hotel and Car Park are directly to the left on Merton Street.

Important

Please note the onsite parking will not be available from 1 July 2012 due to refurbishment works.
