The George Hotel is believed to be the oldest building of Reading and still retains many of its wonderful coaching inn features, including Tudor archways and a very attractive central stone courtyard. Located in the heart of Reading, the hotel is next door to the Oracle Shopping Centre.

The hotel has Japanese and Italian restaurants and the LV Lounge, with a variety of choices in the menu and an open option for personal requests.
Located just 5 minutes' walk from the Reading Central Station, the hotel is also near the surrounding business parks.
There is no lift, but 2 rooms on the ground floor are equipped with disabled facilities, including a panic alarm. Public areas are wheelchair accessible.
Transport
By Car:
- Leave the M4 at junction 11
- Take the A33 for Reading town centre.
- Follow signs for the Oracle shopping centre and Queen's Road car park (on the A329 to Maidenhead).
- Continue onto Queen's Road drive, passing the Oracle car park on your left.
- You will then see Queen's Road car park after Brannigans and the Grosvenor Casino.
- Follow the road and stay in the left lane.
- At the 2nd set of lights, turn left into Watlington Street (church on you right hand side) and stay in the left lane.
- At the next set of traffic lights, immediately after the bridge, turn left into Kings Road. (Kwik-Fit garage on your left).
- Continue onto Kings Street, where you will find the hotel on the left.
Parking:
Parking is available in the shopping centre or across the road at Queens Road car park.

Cancellation Terms
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: 17.5 % VAT is included.

Internet: Internet via modem is available in the entire hotel and costs GBP 7.99 per 24 hours.
