Transport
By car:
- Follow the M5 south and continue onto the A38 for Plymouth.
- Carry on across the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall.
- Stay on the A38 for a further 16 miles and then take the turn off into Liskeard.
- Contrinue for the town centre, past the Lord Eliot and St. Martins church on the left.
- Take the next right turning into Higher Lux Street by the blue fishing tackle shop.
From the West:
- Follow the A38 and turn off into Liskeard.
- Turn left by the Spar shop and then right at the 2nd mini roundabout into Pound Street. Higher Lux Street is the next left.
There are other B roads from the North and East into Liskeard from Launceston, Callington and St. Cleer for example. We suggest the map is referred to.
Liskeard is on the main Penzance to Paddington railway line with a recently renovated station which is open 7 days a week with frequent trains in both directions. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the station and taxis are plentiful.
Plymouth is the closest airport and Newquay airport is about an hour's drive away.
Restaurants
Breakfast menu includes a choice of fruit juice, a selection of cereals and fresh or dried fruit.
English breakfast is available, with sausage, bacon, egg, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato or scrambled/poached/boiled eggs. Or you can just have a bacon sandwich.
All of the above is served with brown or white toast, with marmalade / jam and a pot of tea or coffee.
