Whitby is home to the famous explorer Captain James Cook and is a ten minute drive to Goathland where Heartbeat is filmed. The nearest major town is Scarborough (19 miles) or Middlesborough (23 miles).
Transport
As you enter Whitby follow signs for the town centre and you will go down a steep hill which is Chubb Road, at the bottom of this hill turn second left (omitting the small 1st left) to climb up the hill on the other side of the roundabout.
Carry on up the hill to the next mini roundabout and take the second exit,
Harrison's garage should now be on your left hand side.
Take your first right into Crescent Avenue and carry on down the road until you can see the sea and we are the blue and white building close to the bottom of the road on the right hand side.
