Wells Stoberry House

Overlooking Wells Cathedral and the Vale of Avalon, Stoberry House is surrounded by 6.5 acres of night-lit gardens and offers welcome drinks on arrival. The luxurious rooms at this guest accommodation feature bathrobes and slippers.

Each room at the guest house is individually decorated using sumptuous fabrics, and guests can choose from a pillow library. All rooms have a TV, DVD-player and en suite bathroom. Guests have access to a pantry with unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits.

Breakfasts feature local ingredients and the menu includes fresh fruit, home-made scones and Somerset cheeses. Cooked breakfasts include pancakes and a full English or vegetarian breakfast. From May 2012, picnic hampers and a specialist healthy option menu is available.


Stoberry House is set in 26 acres of parklands. The 6-acre garden features a changing collection of local artists' sculptures. Ponds, flower walks and a walled garden provide places to walk and rest.


Bath is a 35-minute drive away, and Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury are both 20 minutes' drive away from Stoberry House Hotel. Longleat House and Animal Park, Bath Abbey and Bristol city centre are all within 25 miles.
