In the oldest part of town, just 2 minutes' walk from Ayr's sandy beach and the town centre, this charming, family-run hotel offers lovely rooms, tasty Scottish breakfasts and free Wi-Fi and parking.

Next to Ayr's historic St John's Tower, the Arrandale Hotel is just a short stroll from the seafront esplanade, with its wonderful views of Ailsa and Arran. The bus station is just a 2-minute walk away and Ayr Railway Station is less than 10 minutes' walk from the hotel.

Quiet and peaceful, each of the comfortable en suite rooms is individually decorated and is named after one of the islands on Scotland's West Coast.

Breakfasts are freshly cooked to order and include locally produced bacon, sausages and free-range eggs.

The Arrandale is currently owned and run by Iain and Linda, who pride themselves on taking care of each and every guest, to ensure any stay at the Arrandale is an enjoyable one. Due to Scottish legislation, the hotel is completely non-smoking.

Burns Cottage: 3.1 miles (5 km) - Birthplace of Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns. Nearby is a centre dedicated to his works.

By Car
From the A77:
- Follow signs for Ayr town centre.
- Turn right at the bottom of Miller Road.
- Take the 3rd left into Wellington Square.
- The first right will lead you to Cassillis Street.

From Ayr Station (1 km):
- Leave the station and cross Burns Statue Square towards Alloway Street.
- Bear left towards Dalibar Road, and proceed along it.
- Turn left into Barns Street, and continue over the junction to Leask Road.
- Take the first right, which will lead you to Cassillis Street.

From Boswell Street Bus Station (350 m):
- Head towards Fullarton Street and turn right.
- Cross the roundabout, bearing left into Mews Lane.
- Cassillis Street is at the end of the road.
