Transport
By Car (westbound from the M4 motorway):
- Leave the M4 motorway at junction 33, exiting straight onto the dual carriageway.
- Follow the dual carriageway for 2 miles (3.25 km) and take the first exit, following the signs towards Barry.
- At the roundabout, take the 4th exit, signposted Cowbridge A48.
- Then take the A48, for approximately 10 miles (15 km), passing through St Nicholas & Bonvilston.
- Take the road signposted Cowbridge.
- At the traffic lights, go straight into Cowbridge High Street, over the 1st zebra crossing and take an immediate right.
- Follow the road to the left and you will see the hotel on the left and the car park on the right. Drive up to the barrier and it will open automatically. The Bear Hotel is approximately 20 minutes' drive from junction 33 of the M4.
By Car (eastbound from the M4 motorway):
- Leave the M4 motorway at junction 35, following the signs for Bridgend and Pencoed.
- Go around the roundabout and under the motorway and the take the exit for Bridgend.
- Travel along the dual carriageway for approximately 2 miles (3.25 km).
- At the first roundabout, take the 2nd exit, heading towards Bridgend.
- Continue on the dual carriageway until you reach another roundabout, and then take the 1st exit, heading towards Cardiff/Cowbridge A48.
- Continue on this road for 5 miles (8 km) until you see the sign post for Cowbridge.
- The Bear Hotel is situated on the high street next to the HSBC bank on the left-hand side. For parking, continue down the high street. As you approach the 2nd zebra crossing, turn left and follow the road to the left. The car park is on the right-hand side, drive to the barrier and it will open automatically.
