Hotel Information
The Britannia Adelphi Hotel originally dates back to 1826, but was extensively rebuilt in 1912 to cater for passengers from large cruise liners, many of which were based in Liverpool. The city was the home port of all the White Star Line ships, the most famous of which was the Titanic. The Sefton suite at the hotel is an exact replica of the Smoking Lounge aboard the Titanic.
The hotel's own on-site Spindles health and leisure club provides a heated marble swimming pool. It is open from 07:00 to 22:30 (Monday to Friday); 10:00 to 19:00 (Saturday); and 10:00 to 17:00 (Sunday). Entry is at an additional cost. Last entry is permitted one hour before closing. It is the hotel's policy that all children in Spindles between 2 and 16 years of age should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Also on-site is Spindles Salon, specialists in Pamper Party days, offering fantastic discounts for residents and members. Once at the hotel, you can mix and match professional salon treatments, swimming, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, sunbed, lunch, dinner snacks, fine wine, champagne, imported beers and overnight accommodation. Children's parties ? offering swimming, face-painting and pizza ? can also be catered for.
There is no access to the hotel for electronic wheelchairs. Other wheelchair access is via a side entrance. There is lift access to all floors. Accessible rooms and bathrooms are available. Access to Jenny's restaurant and bars may be difficult for guests with mobility problems, therefore room service alternatives are offered. The gym is not specifically fitted with disabled facilities.
