Just 200 metres away, the green space of Peasholm Park has pedal boats and public shows. The hotel is just metres from the beach, and Scarborough Sea Life Centre is 1.5 miles away up the coast.

Hotel Information

In late 1917, Wilfred Owen was posted to a reserve battalion, based at The Clifton Hotel, (then known as The Clarence Gardens Hotel). Here he produced ?Miners,? the first of his poems to be published.

The hotel's elegant Castle Ballroom offers a delightful setting for social functions, from cocktail parties to birthday parties, wedding receptions and dinner dances.
