The Glenross is situated in a prime holiday area, close to the Riveria Conference Centre, railway station and a 10-minute walk from the seafront promenade. A 15-minute walk will take you to Castle Circus at the top of town for shopping opportunities, whilst the harbour can be reached with a 25-minute walk. The distance is well worth the fact that you can enjoy all the evening entertainments and dining possibilities before returning for a good night's rest away from the noise of the town centre.
The Glenross is situated with other lovely Victorian villa establishments and offers a great location to go off and catch a bus or ferry to Brixham; take walk to Cockington; or a drive off to Dartmouth, Dartmoor or perhaps Salcombe.
Transport
By Car:
- Approach Newton Abbot via the M5 and A380.
- Continue on the A380 towards Torquay, until you approach a 'y' junction, with the Halfords store on your right hand side.
- At this point, bear right onto Avenue Road, following signs for the seafront.
- At the traffic lights, go straight on and carefully turn left into the Glenross car park, which is the 2nd property after the lights.
Car Parking:
The car park can accommodate the majority of guests' cars. However, on occasions there may be a need for guests to park on Avenue Road, where the hotel is situated.
Restaurants
Included in the rates is your freshly prepared breakfast. Each morning you can order whatever you wish from the full English breakfast menu, as well as the breakfast bar which offers fruit, cereals and juices.
Evening 3-course dinners are prepared using a wide range of locally sourced ingredients. The cooking at the Glenross is renowned for being hearty, varied and extremely good value. A discount is offered to guests who dine with us every night of their stay.
The bar is available while dinner is served, from 18:00 to 20:00. Room/lounge service is available until 22:00.
