This charming 500-year-old building is a former coaching inn, and once provided lodgings for King Charles I in 1645. The Chop House Restaurant retains original oak flooring and medieval windows.
In keeping with an old racing tradition, all rooms at The Kings Arms Hotel are named after cup-winning horses. Seven are in the main building, and there are 3 cottage rooms for guests to use.
There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the building, and limited space for free private parking on site. A full English breakfast is served in the morning, and guests can relax beside an open fire in the bar area.
The Kings Arms is situated on the edge of Stow-on-the-Wold's historic market square, which dates back to 1107. Cheltenham, famous for its racecourse, is a 30-minute drive away.
