The local fells provide stunning scenery and are easily accessible. Numerous local walks start close by, including the Hampsfell Nature Trail, the Cistercian Way, and the Cumbria Coastal Path. For the more intrepid, there are guided walks across Morecambe Bay and the Cumbria Cycle Way. These can easily be combined with the excellent public transport by road or rail to provide a convenient return journey.

Transport
By Road (from the M6):
- Leave the M6 at junction 36 and follow the A590 towards Barrow-in-Furness for about 8 miles until a roundabout at the end of the stretch of dual carriageway where Grange-over-Sands is signposted on the left on the B5277.
- Take this turn and follow signs for Grange-over-Sands.
- On entering the town pass the train station on your left and turn left at the 1st roundabout into Main Street.
- At the top of the hill turn right at the mini roundabout and at the next junction turn left into Kents Bank road.
- The guest house is about 300 yards on the right.
By Rail:
- Grange-over-Sands has a main line station in the town where there is a direct line from Manchester and Lancaster.
- The guest house is approximately half a mile from the station.
By Air:
- The nearest airports are Manchester, Blackpool and Liverpool.
- There are road, rail and bus links to Grange-over-Sands form these airports.
