The Royal Wells owes its name to Queen Victoria who frequently stayed at the hotel as a young princess in the early 19th-century.

Transport

From the M25 At junction 5 of the M25, turn off onto the A21. Take the A21 Southbound (sign-posted Hastings) for about 8 miles, following signs for Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. Take A26 into Tunbridge Wells. In the town at the first mini-roundabout - turn right sign-posted East Grinstead and Through Traffic. Continue past Kent and Sussex Hospital and take the next right (at the fork in the road) onto Mount Ephraim. The hotel is 100M on the right.
