The Shambles, a historic cobbled street with a variety of bars and restaurants, is less than 5 minutes' journey on foot. The Grand Opera House and the Castle Museum are less than 100 metres from the St Denys.

Free private parking is available on-site. York Rail Station is less than 1 mile away.

Transport

Whichever direction you approach York from, you will arrive at the outer ring road. Take the shortest circuit to the York-Hull a1079 junction. Take the exit sign posted York/Hull a1079 and drive along this road for 2.4miles until you come to the traffic lights at the old bar walls. At the lights, take the centre lane and follow the traffic through the bar walls on to Walmgate. 500 yards along Walmgate you will have to turn left on the one way system, you will then see the hotel opposite the church.
