The nearest train station, only 4 miles away, is Newbury, and there are direct routes by rail to London Paddington.

The Vineyard's sister hotel Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa has an 18 hole, par 71 golf course only 2 miles away. Guests of The Vineyard can use the golf course by arrangement.

Newbury Racecourse is only five miles away in central Newbury. Race badges can be arranged on request. Home to the Queen's cousin, Highclere Castle is a perfect example of a traditional English Castle. Set in hundreds of acres of gardens and forests, Highclere Castle is open to visitors during July and August, and boasts an Egyptian Exhibition throughout these months.

Leave the M4 at junction 13.
At the roundabout take the first exit signed A34 Southbound towards Newbury/Winchester/Southampton.
Ignoring the first turning for Newbury, follow the A34 southbound towards Winchester/Southampton.
Take the second exit signed A4 Newbury/Hungerford (Donnington/Speen)
At the roundabout turn right onto the A4, signed Hungerford/Oxford/The Midlands, go over the A34 and at the next roundabout take the second exit onto B4000.
The Vineyard is located 500 metres on the right-hand side.
From the M4 Eastbound

Leave the M4 at junction 14, take the first left and briefly join the A338 towards Oxford,
Turn right onto the B4000 and pass over the M4 following signs to Newbury.
Continue through the village of Wickham, and continue through Stockcross.
The Vineyard is located 500 metres out of Stockcross on the left-hand side.

The Vineyard has a truly exceptional restaurant offering a fusion of food and wine in the most stylish of surroundings. In January 2000 it was awarded a Michelin Star to add to the 4 RAC Dining Awards and AA 5 Red Stars and 4 Rosettes awarded in 1999.

As The Vineyard at Stockcross approaches its 10th anniversary they have notched up a platter of awards that has set them apart from their contemporaries. Now as the year draws to a close it has been awarded yet another prestigious accolade, the Relais & Châteaux Gourmands label, which denotes ?excellence in service, wine cellar and cuisine?.

In January 2007 The Vineyard Restaurant was awarded a 2nd Michelin Star, thanks to Chef John Campbell and his team, showcasing The Vineyard as one of just 5 hotels in the UK to obtain a 2nd Michelin Star.
