Tir-y-Coed is a prefect centre for touring Snowdonia and visiting the North Wales coastal resorts and the sandy beaches of Anglesey. The area abounds in things to do and see, ranging from pre-historic sites, castles and stately homes, slate and copper mines and narrow gauge railways to unspoiled countrysideand formal gardens - the National Trust's Bodnant Garden is only about three miles away. For the active, there is within easy reach golf, pony trekking, water sports, sea and fresh water fishing, a dry ski slope, climbing and walking, including numerous walks starting from the hotel.
