Set opposite Hovingham Hall and just a short drive from Castle Howard, the area is tranquil but full of so many things to see and do - you will be spoilt for choice and want to come back soon. There are many popular walks around the village including views of Hovingham Hall, birthplace of The Duchess of Kent. Most visitors travel to Pickering (8 km/ 5 miles) for the North Yorkshire Railway as well as Castle Howard (2 km/ 1.2 miles). For the serious walker, the Ebor Way passes by the hotel.
